In the world of international politics, much has been made of the concept called the Thucydides Trap. Thucydides’s Trap postulates that catastrophic war is a forgone conclusion when there is a new power rising that threatens the domination of an established power. Sadly, this reflexive concept has been idea-laundered throughout international think tanks for years, resulting in policies that demand the disintegration and weakening of the United States and the capitulation to the Communist Chinese Party.
Today we examine the trap of looking at the Thucydides Trap as an inevitable event as opposed to a situation that can be easily avoided through diplomacy and open discussion.
