From LGBT-themed books on the shelf to concerns about Marxism, a variety of concerns have arisen at public school libraries throughout the country, prompting some states to disassociate with the American Library Association. The organization opposes the banning of books, including those that some parents have deemed harmful because they promote such things as pedophilia and sexual experimentation at a young age.
