We’re sharing a bonus episode today on Renewing Your Mind, featuring a conversation that Ben Sasse recently hosted with Sinclair Ferguson and W. Robert Godfrey.
Listen now as they discuss Christian worship, the church’s influence on the culture, and our calling to serve Christ amid suffering and weakness.
Long before he was known to America as the U.S. senator from Nebraska, Ben Sasse has been an advocate for Reformed theology and a longtime friend of Ligonier Ministries.
Ben came to know R.C. Sproul through his work with Michael Horton and James Boice. For several years, he served as the executive director for the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, helping to organize the meeting that produced the Cambridge Declaration. Ben later went on to work closely with W. Robert Godfrey at Westminster Seminary California for a time.
Many of us may know that Ben has stage-4 pancreatic cancer, and he seeks to face this terminal diagnosis with steadfast faith in Christ. At the close of a recent 60 Minutes interview, when asked if he thinks God has a plan for his cancer, Ben quoted a familiar statement by Dr. Sproul to affirm, “There are no maverick molecules in the universe.”
Join us in praying for Ben Sasse and his family as Ben seeks, by God’s grace, to finish his race well.
