Kevin DeYoung led a session at the 2021 TGC National Conference titled “The Same Jesus, Yesterday, Today, and Forever.”
Focusing on Hebrews 1 and 2, he formulated two foundational statements regarding Christ and revelation:
— Jesus Christ is the final word by which God has revealed his redemptive purposes in the world, a revelation to which nothing can be added.
— Jesus Christ is the final word by which God continues to speak today.
These truths enable pastors to preach with the understanding that they are preaching the revealed, powerful, active Word of God to and for his people, and they encourage all of God’s people to pray for ears to hear from God as they eagerly and expectantly open their Bibles.
