Israeli leaders decried the recent decision at a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization meeting to list Sebastia in Samaria on both the World Heritage List and the List of World Heritage in Danger, saying the U.N. body ignores “the ancient Jewish presence and connection” to the site.
