It is a consistent finding in the academic literature that most kids, the overwhelming majority, who believe they are “trans” and desire to present and be recognized as the opposite sex end up reverting to their natural sex as they grow older. For various reasons, they just come to happily live in line with nature itself. This is very powerful evidence that “being trans” is not the natural “just-the-way-some-people-are” thing that many assume it is. It is also very powerful evidence that “medicalizing” gender dysphoria with drugs and removing perfectly healthy body parts is an unwise path to take.
But the mainstream media certainly does not want to recognize this fact.
A very recent example of this is demonstrated in the life of one very famous family – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and the first born of their 6 biological and adopted children, Shiloh. Shiloh was born in 2006 and later in childhood announced to all who would listen that she was a boy and wanted to be referred to as “John.”
In 2008, Brad Pitt told Oprah Winfrey that every time someone called her by her given name, she corrected them, explaining, “John, I’m John.”
In 2010, Angelina Jolie told Vanity Fair Shiloh dresses “like a little dude” and “wants to be a boy.” Jolie added, “So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.”
Evie, a digital secular magazine dedicated to celebrating the objective reality of women, explains, “The press couldn’t stop talking about whether Shiloh was being raised as a boy. This was before the transgender trend erupted into a mainstream conversation.”
But as she has grown, “John” is now beautiful Shiloh again, and happily so.
And even though the mainstream media are largely mum on the re-transformation, some are taking notice and asking questions about whether the whole widely celebrated “trans” thing is actually what it is falsely being billed as. On Twitter, The Redheaded Libertarian caused quite a stir this week by saying the quiet part out loud, “No one talks about how Shiloh went by ‘John’ for years and now she is Shiloh again.”

In her thread, The Redheaded Libertarian correctly notes, “Seems like kind of a relevant and pointed example of just one of the 90% of children who will outgrow GD [gender dysphoria] if their parents just let them.” This is indeed precisely what the best research indicates, as referenced in the introduction above.
Redheaded Libertarian also graciously praises Brad and Angelina’s wise “watchful waiting” direction to Shiloh’s confusion, which is the approach that clinicians who have not drunk the gender ideology kool-aid recommend for such children. She explains bluntly,
Angelina and Brad didn’t put her on hormones or have her mutilated. They could have. They live in California. But they just let her outgrow it on her own.
Unfortunately, California just became a sanctuary mecca where parents’ rights to protect their children from body mutilation now go to die. As the Daily Citizen recently reported, the Golden States’ governor, Gavin Newsom, just signed a dangerously sweeping law “which allows courts to take away parents’ rights if their child comes to the state seeking experimental and damaging puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and ‘sex change’ surgeries.”
Evie correctly explains how this happy Pitt-Jolie family development demonstrates how the current trans orthodoxy of “this-is-the-way-some-people-are-born” is certainly not how things actually are. Nature is more honest, if we just trust it.
Children have quite the imagination when they’re young, leaving them to think they’re a mermaid, a superhero, or even a different gender. But in pretty much every case, the kid grows out of this phase—and that seems to be exactly what Shiloh has done.
This is a development that nobody in the mainstream media wants to acknowledge. The press was all too quick to point out that Shiloh was dressing like a boy when she was young, but the fact that she looks and dresses like a normal girl is just proof that children will outgrow their “trans” phase if you simply allow them to.
This is a story that should be more widely told and understood. What children insist they are today is usually not what they will remain if we just let nature take its course. It has a gracious way of asserting itself in powerful ways and overcoming confusion.
But don’t hold your breath waiting for the elite media to tell you this fact. They have dangerous falsehoods to protect.
