Joe Biden Says ‘Science Will Always Guide’ His Administration. But What About Preborn Life?

President Joe Biden is fond of saying that his administration will “follow the science.” Indeed, that phrase may have been one of his most often repeated slogans during his presidential campaign.

And yet, the president has either forgotten, or chosen not to follow the science when it comes to abortion and the biological reality that life begins at conception.

Since being sworn-in, the president has continued his “follow the science” rhetoric.

“Science will always guide my Administration,” he tweeted on January 27 from his official presidential account.

The same day, President Biden gave remarks on climate change and said, “As with our fight against COVID-19, we will listen to the science and protect the integrity of our federal response to the climate crisis.”

President Biden then signed an executive order on “tackling the climate crisis,” in which he said, “we must listen to science — and act.”

In other words, President Biden has repeatedly promised to “follow the science,” “listen to the science,” and then “act” on the science.

And yet, just one day later on January 28, President Biden signed an anti-scientific executive order that will send U.S. taxpayer dollars to promote and fund abortions around the world.

“Today, I issued a Presidential Memorandum to protect and expand access to reproductive health care. I am fully committed to protecting women’s health here at home and around the world,” he tweeted about his executive order.

The order rescinded the Mexico City Policy, which was first instituted by President Ronald Reagan, that “prevented U.S. taxpayer dollars from going to fund abortions abroad.”

Additionally, the order directed the “Department of Health and Human Services, which will likely be led by radical pro-abortion activist Xavier Becerra, to review the Trump administration’s defunding of Title X funding from Planned Parenthood.”

The Trump administration had rescinded $60 million in Title X funds from Planned Parenthood.

So, President Biden says he is willing to “follow the science” when it comes to COVID-19 and dealing with climate change. But evidently, he is unwilling to do so when it comes to abortion.

To be sure, the scientific field of embryology confirms that life begins at conception.

Keith Moore writes in Essentials of Human Embryology, “Human development begins after the union of male and female gametes or germ cells during a process known as fertilization (conception).”

In Langman’s Medical Embryology, T.W. Sadler writes, “The development of a human begins with fertilization, a process by which the spermatozoon from the male and the oocyte from the female unite to give rise to a new organism, the zygote.

And Bruce M. Carlson writes in Patten’s Foundations of Embryology, “Almost all higher animals start their lives from a single cell, the fertilized ovum (zygote)… The time of fertilization represents the starting point in the life history, or ontogeny, of the individual.”

The science is clear. Life begins at conception.

So, why won’t the Biden administration “follow the science” and choose to protect preborn babies in the womb?

Instead, President Biden has chosen to fund their deaths around the globe and here at home.

The president of the March for Life, Jeanne Mancini, retweeted Biden’s January 27 tweet today and made the point that life begins in the womb.

“Pro-life is pro-science #WhyWeMarch,” she wrote.

The March for Life is being held today in Washington, D.C. where The Daily Citizen is on the ground to bring you live coverage which you can view on our Facebook page.

Even though pro-life supporters have been dealt a setback with the Biden administration’s recent executive orders, the fight for life doesn’t stop.

When the lives of millions of preborn babies are at stake, it can’t.
