The Gospel Coalition is pleased to announce two new vice presidents who will lead the organization alongside president Julius Kim as of January 1, 2021. Collin Hansen, who has served TGC as editorial director for more than a decade, will now serve as vice president of content and editor in chief, overseeing all multimedia editorial content (articles, videos, podcasts) and publications (books, curriculum, Bible studies). Jeffrey Jue will begin serving as vice president of operations, overseeing all ministry administrative functions.
Hansen previously served as associate editor at Christianity Today before coming on staff at TGC in 2010. Jue is a senior fellow at The King’s College and previously served as managing director at the American Bible Society, and before that as provost and executive vice president at Westminster Theological Seminary.
“I’m so thankful that God has brought such incredibly gifted and godly men like Collin and Jeff to TGC,” said TGC president Julius Kim. “My prayer is that the Lord will continue to bless our labors as we seek to keep the gospel central in our lives and ministries. I look forward to this next phase of TGC as we faithfully continue the vision of founders Don Carson and Tim Keller.”
TGC is also pleased to announce five new hires who began serving the ministry in part-time roles on January 1. Chris Colquitt, campus minister for Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Northwestern University, and a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), serves TGC as an editor. Sharonda Cooper, who previously worked as an engineer before becoming a full-time homemaker, is now a donor ministries associate for TGC. Samuel James, an associate acquisition editor at Crossway Books and editor of Letter & Liturgy, serves TGC as a contributing editor. Founding TGC Council member Tim Savage, who lives in the United Kingdom, has assumed the role of international regional coordinator for TGC in Europe. Ann Westrate, who lives in Batavia, Illinois, with her husband and son, serves TGC as coordinator for women’s initiatives.
In addition, several other full-time TGC staff members received new titles and expanded roles as of January 1. Seth Magnuson will serve as senior director of web and events. Brett McCracken will continue his role as senior editor while also serving as director of communications. Steven Morales will serve as creative director. Noman Paran will serve as special assistant to the president.
One of the world’s largest internet publishers of Christian content, TGC begins 2021 having reached more than 40 million people in 2020 across the ministry’s family of websites.
