Megyn Kelly served up several helping of truth during her appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night, telling Maher’s audience about how our society is harming children.
Kelly currently hosts The Megyn Kelly Show on SiriusXM after serving as a Fox News host from 2004 to 2017. In the past couple years, she has become increasingly fierce and courageous on the issue of transgenderism, leading her to call it “the issue of our time.”
She began by stressing the importance of “what we’re doing to our children with this trans insanity.”
“This is almost my single issue,” Kelly said, adding,
This declaration caused someone in the audience to object, leading Kelly to reply, “Oh 100% we are doing that.” Maher then affirmed her contention: “We are definitely doing that. That’s what it is. I don’t know what the ooing is about.”
Kelly added,
Then they have body parts chopped off by a medical establishment and by parents who mean well, but believe in these doctors, and they shouldn’t.
“When they inevitably … want to de-transition, they’re abandoned. They’re depressed. They have changed their bodies forever in a way that is irreversible,” Kelly continued. “And we’re all sitting back and saying, ‘It’s a remote issue.’”
She concluded,

Megyn Kelly’s courage of conviction on this issue is admirable and laudatory. Thousands of children every year are irreparably harmed by the medical industry pushing transgenderism upon them.
According to a recent report, nearly 14,000 children and adolescents received transgender medical interventions between January 2019 and December 2023; a staggering 5,747 of them received transgender surgeries with 8,579 receiving hormones and puberty blockers.
In Matthew 18:5-6, Jesus taught,
“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (ESV).
Convictional Christians should be the first ones to speak out against gender ideology, and to stand up for the rights of children, for their bodily integrity and sexual identity.
Megyn Kelly, a lifelong Catholic, has recently been experiencing a crisis of faith. And yet, even she now understands the grave harm our society is inflicting upon thousands of children each year – and she’s speaking out about it. Good for her in doing so.
If Megyn Kelly can understand the gravity of this issue, how much more so should devoted Christians?
The Christian church must educate its people about this critically important issue. Christians are called to serve as a prophetic voice in our culture, clearly and boldly leaning into the issue of transgenderism and speaking truth in love.
Jesus also taught in Luke 12:48,
“Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more” (ESV).
Christians have been given much, including the help of the Holy Spirit, the wisdom and depth of Holy Scripture and a relationship with Jesus Christ Himself, who is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).
And much is required of us to speak up for the rights of children, for their safety and wellbeing.
