Many parents have been lied to over the last few years by medical professionals with the baseless trope of “Would you rather have a live son or a dead daughter?”
This is meant to scare parents into going along with so-called “gender-affirming care” of hormones, puberty blockers and even body-altering surgery to remove perfectly healthy body parts.
But the truth is, there is no consistent or reliable data to back this manipulative claim. And as you will see below, a new independent U.K. report confirms this. But doctors continue to push it and parents are obviously tricked by it.
In fact, one of the brightest men on the planet – Elon Musk – was dupped by it when it came to one of his sons. His son is dead because he believed the lie.
The founder of Telsa and SpaceX, and owner of social media giant X, recently sat down with Jordan Peterson to reveal how this tragedy happened in his own family.
Musk tells Peterson, “It happened to one of my older boys.” The inventor and entrepreneur explains, “I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys Xavier … I was told Xavier might commit suicide if we didn’t.”
World renowned psychologist Jordan Peterson jumps in immediately, indicting his own clinical colleagues, “That was a lie right from the outset.” He adds, “No reliable clinician ever believed that. There was never any evidence for that!” He continues, “When I saw that lie start to propagate, it made the hair on the back of neck stand up.”
Peterson explains further, speaking to such medical professionals,
I see, so your telling parents that unless they agree to this radical transformation, their children are gonna die, and you think that’s moral, you think that is true? That is so pathological that is almost incomprehensible. I can’t imagine a therapist doing anything worse than that, or sitting by idly and remaining silent while his colleagues are doing it. It’s pathetic.
Peterson is precisely right. Musk agrees, saying such practices “are incredibly evil, and I agree with you, the people who are promoting this should go to prison.”
Musk concludes, “my son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus” of gender ideology.

The Evidence Exposes Transgenderism’s Lies
The evidence continues to stack up against the harmful and claims of those pushing the false story of transgenderism and deceptive gender ideology. Their suicide claims are baseless and are harming children in radical ways.
In fact, a new report from the United Kingdom’s government reports that that there has been no increase in suicides among gender confused youth since the U.K. shut down their own national gender clinics and ceased dispensing puberty suppressing hormones for youth.
This new, independent report, released July 19, 2024, states in its first conclusion “The data do not support the claim that there has been a large rise in suicide in young gender dysphoric patients…” and that activists who have made this claim on social media have “been insensitive, distressing and dangerous” as “the claims that have been placed in the public domain do not meet basic standards for statistical evidence.”
This British government report also explains,
The evidence on suicide risk in children and young people with gender dysphoria is generally poor. Most studies are methodologically weak, being based on online surveys and self-selected samples and coming from biased sources.
This report scolds “leading journalists” for reflexively repeating the false suicide claim in their reporting. It also affirms how parents like Elon Musk and untold others have been lied to and manipulated because, as the report explains, “there is the insensitivity of the ‘dead child’ rhetoric” adding, “suicide should not be a slogan or a means to winning an argument.”
Musk and Peterson are right. Transgenderism’s suicide lie is not only false, it is evil and manipulative.
