Planned Parenthood to Promote COVID Vaccine as Part of Grassroots Efforts

The nation’s largest abortion business is joining forces with the current administration to promote the COVID-19 vaccine to low-income and minority communities. Some clinics are reportedly also offering the vaccine.

Planned Parenthood’s COVID-19 vaccine $2 million bilingual grassroots campaign is called “Protect. Every. Body.” and is utilizing a variety of visual and social media imagery in order to reach roughly 1.5 million people with information about the vaccine and encouraging them to get it, preferably at one of the few Planned Parenthood locations offering it.

“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with @ItsMadeToSave, a national education & grassroots mobilization effort that will help increase access to the #COVID19 vaccines by investing in the communities of color hit hardest by the pandemic,” Planned Parenthood announced on Twitter.

In a statement, Planned Parenthood’s president Alexis McGill Johnson said, “COVID-19 has left our communities devastated — we have lost friends, neighbors, and family members in the past year to this deadly pandemic. Across the country, people are facing long-term health and economic consequences, particularly within communities of color. We need vaccine administration and education to put an end to this pandemic. In this moment, Planned Parenthood’s mission has never been clearer: provide the high-quality care and trusted information people need, and our communities deserve, to make the best decisions about their bodies and live the life they want — healthy, strong, and protected against COVID-19.”

As part of this effort, more Planned Parenthood affiliate locations plan on providing the vaccine, which is currently only available in Minnesota, Montana, New York, California and Washington. (A quick internet search shows that it is difficult to find out which Planned Parenthood locations provide the vaccine.)

The abortion business has also included a “pilot program to help combat disinformation about COVID-19 vaccines, and to help boost confidence in and amplify medically-accurate information.”

This is bit peculiar, as in many ways Planned Parenthood is one of the nation’s most prolific purveyors of bad medical information when it comes to surgical and medical/chemical abortions, also known as the abortion pill.

It constantly tells women that abortion is “safe” and with minimal side effects. However, the abortion industry, with the help of pro-abortion medical professionals, have failed to properly investigate the abortion pill and its many potential complications or the emotional/psychological side effects from having an abortion. In addition, problems that women experience during a surgical abortion are often minimized.

When it comes to the abortion pill reversal protocol, which has saved thousands of lives, the abortion business falsely states, “Claims about treatments that reverse the effects of medication abortion are out there, and a handful of states require doctors and nurses to tell their patients about them before they can provide abortion care. But these claims haven’t been proven in reliable medical studies — nor have they been tested for safety, effectiveness, or the likelihood of side effects — so experts like the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) reject these untested supposed treatments.”

The abortion pill reversal protocol, which provides women with an infusion of the naturally occurring pregnancy chemical progesterone, is incredibly safe and a drug sometimes prescribed to women with a high possibility of miscarriage. In fact, the director of Yale School of Medicine’s reproductive and placental research unit said that he would even prescribe progesterone to his own daughter if she accidentally ingested the first part of the abortion pill, known as mifepristone.

In the medical community, that is high praise.

But the abortion industry doesn’t want women to know this, so how can the public trust it when it comes to sharing information about COVID-19 or the vaccines? There are many, many other reputable medical organizations that would be better suited to provide this kind of outreach to underserved communities.

Perhaps the administration should reach out to other, more reputable health care providers instead of Planned Parenthood.
