Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is speaking out against a radical ballot measure in the state of Michigan, which voters will decide on later today.
Michigan Proposal 3, also known as the “Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative,” would enshrine access to abortion in the Michigan state constitution, and potentially permit children to access “sex change” procedures, like puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and body-damaging surgeries without parental consent.
The measure defines the “right to reproductive freedom” as:
The right to make and effectuate decisions about all matters relating to pregnancy, including but not limited to prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, contraception, sterilization, abortion care, miscarriage management, and infertility care.
“I urge Michigan residents to protect women, parental rights & children by voting against Proposal 3 that includes loopholes to allow late-term/partial birth abortion (which is really infanticide) & overturns law to inform parents of a child pursuing abortion/hormone therapies,” Gabbard wrote on Twitter.

As the Daily Citizen recently reported, anti-life groups have spent tens of millions of dollars this election cycle to promote abortion.
The state of Michigan has been the largest recipient of money from anti-life groups. Supporters of Proposal 3 have spent nearly $46 million, compared to pro-life groups who have spent just over $17 million to protect preborn life in the Great Lakes State.
In addition to Michigan, four other states have measures on the ballot today that will influence that state’s abortion policy, including California, Montana, Kentucky and Vermont. You can find more about the abortion-related ballot measures by clicking here.
Voters in eight states will also vote on election integrity ballot measures, including Louisiana, Arizona, Alabama, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio and Nevada. You can read more by clicking here.
