Wisconsin Middle Schooler Accused of ‘Sexual Harassment’ After ‘Misgendering’ Classmate

A Wisconsin middle schooler has been charged with committing ‘sexual harassment’ by his middle school after he didn’t use the “preferred pronouns” of one of his classmates.

The middle schooler, named Braden Rabidoux, now has had a Title IX violation placed in his record, which if not removed, could make it difficult for him to attend college.

Braden’s mom, Rosemary, told Fox News that she received a phone call from the school saying that Braden had allegedly committed sexual harassment.

“I immediately thought, ‘sexual harassment, that’s rape, that’s incest, that’s inappropriate touching, even grotesque language could go that far.’ And when I asked him what my son did, he said that he did not use the correct pronouns,” she said.

Fox reports that Braden and two other Wisconsin middle school students are currently facing charges of sexual harassment because they didn’t use another student’s “preferred pronouns.”

“I was anxious and scared and upset because I didn’t know what was going to happen,” Braden told Fox. “But mostly anxious for my present self and my future self because a charge like that on my record could shatter my chances at getting into a college when I grow up.”

Now, the Rabidoux family has taken on an attorney named Luke Berg, deputy counsel for the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty.

“Sexual harassment covers really egregious stuff, not simply using the so-called wrong pronoun,” Berg said. “The school’s theory seems to be that any use of a wrong pronoun is automatically punishable speech under Title IX, and if that is truly their position, that is a truly egregious First Amendment violation.”

The Kiel Area School District’s superintendent, Brad Ebert, said that the district’s policies prohibit “all forms of bullying and harassment in accordance with all laws, including Title IX, and will continue to support ALL students regardless of … sex (including transgender status, change of sex or gender identity).”

Now, it’s important to realize that this entire incident is based on the lies that flow from gender ideology.

It is not “misgendering” someone to correctly refer to them with pronouns based in biology.

And “preferred pronouns” are an entirely novel and false concept. It makes no sense for individuals to have their own “preferred pronouns” just like it wouldn’t make sense for someone to create their own “preferred adjectives” or “preferred prepositions.”

But this is gender ideology we’re talking about, so don’t expect it to make much sense.

Just like it makes no sense to ruin Braden Rabidoux’s future by charging him with “sexual harassment” for speaking the truth.

This story demonstrates yet another reason as to why it is so important for parents to be intensely involved in their children’s education. Parents must be aware of what their children are learning in school.
