Pentagon confirms Americans have been beaten by Taliban fighters en route to Kabul airport

Americans have been assaulted by the Taliban while attempting to reach the U.S.-held airport in Kabul, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said Saturday when asked about reports that U.S. citizens are now being told not to attempt to reach the airport due to threats from terrorist groups on Saturday.
